This summer, Infl8 Hire had the privilege of being part of Slumber on the Humber, a VanLife and camping festival aimed at raising money and awareness for mental health charities. Held in August, the festival brought together a vibrant community for a fun-filled weekend, and we were thrilled to provide bouncy castles and entertainment to keep the younger visitors engaged and smiling.
Slumber on the Humber was the brainchild of Lee Stearman, who, after years in the events industry, sought to create a festival that combined his passion for events with a mission to support mental health. Lee’s own struggles with mental well-being inspired him to turn a challenging period of his life into something positive by raising awareness and giving back to the community. With help from his wife Kerri and friend Shaun, the festival became a reality in August 2023.
The event offers a range of activities for all ages, but one of the festival's core focuses was making it family-friendly. With a variety of entertainment options for children, Infl8 Hire was proud to provide inflatables such as our adult bouncy castles and inflatable slides, ensuring the little ones had plenty to enjoy throughout the weekend. Our inflatables were a hit, adding fun and excitement to the already packed schedule of activities for kids.
Held in North Lincolnshire, just a short drive from Scunthorpe, Hull, Doncaster, and Grimsby, the festival also brought in families from across the region. It was an honour for Infl8 Hire to contribute to the event’s success by providing quality entertainment in these local areas, where we proudly serve a wide range of customers.
We loved taking part in Slumber on the Humber 2024, and with a new venue secured at Cabourne Parva, the event was even bigger and better than in previous years. This enchanting venue, which has hosted festivals before but had been unused for several years, came alive again with music, camping, and fun activities. This year’s festival was full of family entertainment, and Infl8 Hire was delighted to be a part of it.
